Horton is a picturesque village on the beautiful Gower Peninsula, with its clean air, fine beaches, and good surf. The village hall is well appointed, with a large function room and a modern kitchen. It is ideal for parties, functions and theatrical events.
The opening of Horton Village Hall in December, 1931, was an exciting event in the quiet life of a country village near the end of the Gower Peninsula. At the time the village had no electricity, mains water or sewerage and road connections were poor.
Nevertheless Horton was already attracting visitors and new residents, mostly business people from Swansea, who were keen to build homes in such a lovely coastal location.
